L’AMOURETTE
Chocolate Packaging

L’AMOURETTE  is a local chocolate company in San Francisco that stands for exceptional quality, crafting exquisite chocolate bars from the finest ingredients. Their existing package design failed to align with their distinguished identity. Therefore, a rebranding initiative was vital in order to communicate the value of their high-quality and premium-priced chocolate.

The redesigned package elevates the brand by focusing on the connection between people, love, and the sensory pleasure of chocolate. Conceptualized as an intimate and visually arresting gift, the packaging aims to resonate on a deeper emotional level with consumers.

The attention to detail, exemplified by the application of gold foil on the wordmark, a gold wax seal, and the intimate drawings that I drew using charcoal, distinguishes the company from its’ competitors and positions L’AMOURETTE’s  chocolate bars as thoughtful and elegant gifts, enhancing the perceived value and justifying the premium price point.

L’Amourette is a premium San Francisco chocolatier positioned around romance, ethical sourcing, and craftsmanship. The original packaging lacked cohesion and failed to clearly communicate these core values. Inconsistent typography, visual clutter, and weak hierarchy diminished the brand’s perceived quality and created a disconnect between product, narrative, and price point.

The redesign establishes a refined and cohesive visual system grounded in typographic clarity, material contrast, and controlled color variation.

A unified black foundation reinforces a sense of luxury, while circular framing devices differentiate flavors without fragmenting the brand. Hand-drawn graphite illustrations introduce a subtle sensuality, reinforcing the narrative of intimacy and desire while adding a tactile, human dimension to the system.

The result is a confident packaging identity that aligns the brand’s visual presence with its positioning, communicating exclusivity, romance, and craftsmanship with clarity and restraint.
